Our Leaders

Russ Pflasterer
Lead Pastor

Russ grew up in Denver Colorado, but made his way to Jackson over twenty years ago, when he came to Union University.  He married an amazing woman he met there named Hether, and God blessed them with two wonderful kids (Natalie and Isaac). Being teachers by trade, Hether and Russ both enjoyed a 16 year career in the public schools before the Lord led them to help found City Fellowship in 2009.

Matt Marshall
Pastor

Matt is a native Jacksonian, and one of the original founding members of City Fellowship with his wife Rachel.  They have three children, Arianna, Anora, and Elias. Matt came to know the Lord during his time in school in Arizona, and then returned back to Tennessee where he has been involved in ministry ever since. He works at Union University in the Office of University Ministries as the Director of Service and Diversity Initiatives, and also serves there as the Director of the Center for Reconciliation.  Matt has a B.A. in Christian Ethics, and a M.A. in Education.

Jordan Howerton
Director of Communications & Ministries

Jordan has been with City Fellowship since 2009. Originally from Franklin, TN, he has lived in Jackson now almost a decade. Jordan graduated from Union University with an undergrad in Ethics and a masters in Business Administration. He also recently married way up, to his wife Katie.

Kelsey Meadows
Church Administrator

A transplant from Texas, Kelsey has been with City Fellowship since 2010. She graduated from Union University in 2013 with a B.A. in Philosophy. While she appreciates systems and organization, her real passion lies in adventures with her dog, Ranger.
