membership at city
Church Membership isn’t transactional, like a gym membership, but it does come with commitment. It's a commitment to our church family that says, “I’m all in! You can count on me.” And it comes with a commitment from us saying, “We’ll walk with you through prayer, counsel, and support.” It's these reciprocal commitments that make church membership fruitful!
1. Starting Point
If you're new to City Fellowship, or want to take the next step t0 membership, then Starting Point is for you! At our Starting Point class, we'll take some time to share who we are as a church family, what we're doing together, and how we are "building a multiethnic family of faith on mission with King Jesus". We want to help you get to know us a little better and tell you how you can become a part of our family!
2. Membership Questionnaire
Once you've attended a Starting Point class and had the opportunity to hear some of our story we want to hear from you! If you're interested in moving forward in the membership process, submit a Membership Questionnaire and an elder or staff person will be in contact to set up a time to meet with you individually.
3. New Member Installation
Once you've attended a Starting Point class, met individually with one of our leaders, and been affirmed by our leadership and members, we can set a date to officially install new members during a worship service. Take some time to read and pray through our Members’ Covenant.
We encourage all of our members to connect with the family of faith by serving on a ministry team. There are also some opportunities to serve for those who aren't quite ready for membership.
